Humans have caused climate change for 180 yearsAn international research project found human activity has been causing global warming for almost two centuries, proving human-induced climate change for an extreme period of time. This research project involved 25 scientists from across Australia, the United States, Europe and Asia, working together.Researchers have found evidence of warming as early as the1830's.Climate change is talked about as a 20th century phenomenon because direct measurements of climate are rare before the 1900s.Scientists have looked at reconstructions of climate spanning the past 500 years to identify when the current sustained warming trend really began. They examined natural records of climate variations across the world's oceans and continents. These included climate histories preserved in corals, cave decorations, tree rings and ice cores. The research team also analysed thousands of years of climate model simulations. The data showed warming around the 1830s, and found the early warming was attributed to rising greenhouse gas levels. This Climate Change project was to determine what caused the early warming.
Responsive & InteractiveThe climate change occurring right now has accumulated over century's. The importance of this discovery is that it will help scientists and researchers understand the future impact of greenhouse gas emissions on the climate. And it is now evident that humans are causing the climate to change drastically, and is able to accumulate. My perspective on the climate change is that overall humans should have more limitations to have much pollution is emitted to the Earth. The Earth should be conserved more because eventually it will have more negative effects show up in the world.
